Here's a new jungle mix I did last week. It was my mate Tricky's 40th birthday last weekend and this is the set I planned to play. It's got a few new tunes on it but there's a lot of classics included as well. The party was a fun night even if it did take me a little while to recover ;) A big thanks to Yerk and Smut for the superb sound system and lights and a big happy birthday to Tricky.

I was looking through some old mixes the other day and I came across this little gem. It's a jungle / drum & bass mix from 2009 but unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from. The cover says it's presented by the Serial Killaz and mixed by DJ Tera but whoever is responsible it's an excellent mix. It goes on for 70 minutes and is all in one big file. This is much like the mixes I do (it's got a couple of tunes that are on my wish list) so if you like them you'll like this.
This download is a collection of tracks by J.J. Cale. He was born John W. Cale on December 5, 1938, in Oklahoma City, USA and is an American songwriter and musician. Cale has been covered by a number of different artists including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Widespread Panic and Larry Carlton.

Here is a collection of tracks from the excellent reggae band, Black Uhuru. Black Uhuru are a Jamaican reggae band probably best known for their hits "Shine Eye Gal", "Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner", "Sinsemilla", "Solidarity" and "What Is Life?". They were the first group to win a Grammy in the reggae category when it was introduced in 1985. They originally formed in 1972 as Uhuru (the Swahili word for freedom). Tracks 11 & 12 aren't perfect quality but my vinyl is a bit scratchy (nothing major though).

First off let me wish you all a happy Christmas and New Year, hope you have a good time :) This download is the soundtrack of the Blues Brothers film. I was talking to the wife the other day and was claiming I didn't like musicals when she then proceeded to list off about 10 I do like (Blues Brothers, Quadrophenia, Tommy, Crossroads, Rocky Horror and more which I cant remember now) so I guess I do like some musicals. Anyway I'm starting to ramble now so basically this sound track is an absolute gem, chock full of excellent soul/blues. Nearly all the songs on it get you *ahem* shakin' ya ass... and the film is a good watch too. So download it and shake your tail feathers :)

This is another two disc download but this time it's a collection of tracks by reggae genius Bob Marley. The first disc contains a selection of remixes from a number of artists, including bands like Cypress Hill, Sheep On Drugs and Astralasia. The second disc is made up of the original versions of the tracks on disc one and there's even a few bonus songs thrown in for good measure. You can't really go far wrong with a bit of Bob Marley but it's also good to hear some different versions.

This download is some of the more obscure extras from the band Crass.
Christ: The Bootleg was recorded live in Nottingham in the UK on February the 5th 1984 during the band's last tour. This was originally released in 1989, with permission from the band, through Allied Recordings and then reissued in 1997 by No Idea Records.
The other part of the download is a couple of rehearsal sessions from 1981 just prior to releasing Christ The Album. I originally got the rehearsal recordings from the excellent Kill Your Pet Puppy site so go and check it out.

Here's a new drum & bass/jungle mix for your halloween pleasure though it hasn't actually got much to do with Halloween except for the Ghost Town theme ;) It's mainly new tunes but I've included a few old classics as well. The actual mix took me about 4 attempts to get it right but I'm pretty happy with the end result (some of the levels could be better but that can't be helped :). It runs for just over an hour and a quarter so it will fit on a CD and I've included some covers if you want to burn yourself a copy. Anyway, download it and enjoy :)

Bad Brains are a hardcore punk band from the United States formed in Washington, D.C. in 1977. They are widely regarded as among the pioneers of hardcore punk but they are also an adept reggae band.
