Here's a selection of what I think are my best 5 jungle mixes. I didn't include the Planet Defender Mix, which is my most recent one, as it's still available in this blog so basically it's a best of my old stuff. All the files are split into tracks & are in 320kbps MP3 format. There's also the CD covers for each mix if you want to burn a copy. Anyway enough talk so download them, give 'em a listen & I hope you like them.

This download is the In Toytown album by The Cravats that was released on Small Wonder Records in 1980. The Cravats were a post-punk band from Redditch near Birmingham, England & played kinda experimental rock. This is a surprisingly good album & I've even included a couple of unreleased tracks at the end of the download. The two bonus tracks were produced by Penny Rimbaud from Crass & I got them from the excellent Kill Your Pet Puppy site.

NOTES:
The CD cover is basically copied from The History Of American Hardcore DVD which is well worth a watch if you can. There is also a soundtrack album available from the DVD... but mine are better :)

Here's another compilation for your listening pleasure. This one's a selection of various different grindcore bands though there's also a bit of crust mixed in as well. Though whatever genre you want to call it this is all full on, blazing fast, brutal hardcore. Not for the faint hearted :)
It will fit onto a CD if you want to burn yourself a copy.
I'd also like to thank the mighty Brutal Truth who tweeted this comp when it was first up :)
Grindcore is an extreme genre of music that started in the early to mid 1980s. It draws inspiration from some of the most abrasive music genres - including death metal, industrial music, noise and the more extreme varieties of hardcore punk.

I was looking through some old mixes the other day and I came across this little gem. It's a jungle / drum & bass mix from 2009 but unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from. The cover says it's presented by the Serial Killaz and mixed by DJ Tera but whoever is responsible it's an excellent mix. It goes on for 70 minutes and is all in one big file. This is much like the mixes I do (it's got a couple of tunes that are on my wish list) so if you like them you'll like this.
This is my latest jungle mix for your listening enjoyment ;) Big shout out to Smutt for loaning me the Bam Bam tune and much love to Ella for her 21st. It runs for just over an hour and there are CD covers etc. in the download if you want to burn yourself a copy.

This is a live show from Pink Floyd that was recorded on the 17th of February 1972. It's basically a live version of Dark Side Of The Moon from before the studio album was released. The good thing about this show is that the tracks are completely different from the ones that are on the studio album so it's refreshing to hear these other arrangements. There are also a couple of bonus tracks at the end of the download which were taken from a 1970 session for the BBC.

This is a copy of a tape by a band called Paperhouse which was released in 1991. I saw them live years ago and thought they were excellent so I bought a copy of their tape. Coming from somewhere in Surrey they play a psychedelic mix of dub-tinged space rock, very much in the same vein as early Ozric Tentacles and bands like that. The sound quality isn't perfect but considering it's taken from a 20 year old tape then it's not bad at all. The lineup of the band is Jake (Guitar), Andy (Bass), Phil (Drums) & Brian (Keyboards).
This is a collection of 60's proto-punk/garage rock songs mainly taken from the albums Nuggets and the Pebbles Series. Not all the tracks are really proto punk, things like Indian Rope Man are just classic 60s psychedelia... which is no bad thing.
The Pebbles series describes the recordings on their albums as "Original punk rock and psychedelic rock from the fabulous Sixties." These recordings were primarily made by the numerous American bands that were formed in the wake of the British Invasion. Essentially referring to the young age and lack of sophistication of the musicians, the term "punk rock" was coined (or at least popularized) by Lenny Kaye, who was involved in compiling the original Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968.
