Swell Maps

Here's the first four singles from a band called Swell Maps. Swell Maps were a 'trashy/garage' style punk/experimental group that came from Birmingham in the UK. Consisting of brothers Epic Soundtracks (real name Kevin Paul Godfrey) and Nikki Sudden (real name Adrian Nicholas Godfrey) two Solihull based teenagers, plus Biggles Books (Richard Earl), Phones Sportsman (David Barrington), John Cockrill and Jowe Head, the band cut the single "Read About Seymour" as their debut in 1977. They're pretty experimental in places and were definitely not one of the more 'standard' sounding punk bands around that time but I still love 'em.

DJ Embryo - Mash You Down Mix

OK, one final jungle mix... well for a little while at least (though I have just bought some new tunes so you can never tell :). This is an amalgamation of the last two mixes I've done. It should fit nicely onto a CD (with all of 30 seconds left :) and there are covers included in the download if you want to burn yourself a copy. It's one big mp3 file in 320kbps format and not split into the individual tracks.

Mortarhate - Who? What? Why? When? Where?

This is a compilation from Mortarhate Records which was originally released in 1984. It contains tracks from a number of anarchist and 'human rights' punk bands from the UK and is a fairly varied selection of anarcho punk. Mortarhate Records was initially set-up by the group Conflict and they released lots of stuff from a number of anarcho punk bands from that era.
