DJ Embryo - Live Set (drumstepuk.com)

There's no download link this week but I will be playing a live drum & bass set tonight on drumstepuk.com. I'm not entirely sure what time I will be playing but it'll probably be around 7.00 and I reckon I'll be doing 2 hours. There will be a reggae set beforehand starting at 6pm from DJ Switch (a good friend of mine) and I will be followed by Hoolio who will be playing drum & bass and dubstep etc.

Serial Killaz - Full Metal Jack Up Mix

I was looking through some old mixes the other day and I came across this little gem. It's a jungle / drum & bass mix from 2009 but unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from. The cover says it's presented by the Serial Killaz and mixed by DJ Tera but whoever is responsible it's an excellent mix. It goes on for 70 minutes and is all in one big file. This is much like the mixes I do (it's got a couple of tunes that are on my wish list) so if you like them you'll like this.

DJ Embryo - King Dub Mix

Here's a new jungle mix I did recently. It's got a couple of exclusive tracks on it so shout outs to Silicon Drum for the superb King Dub track and to my young protege DJ Blits for letting me remix his Come Into My Room track. I did this mix using vinyl and Audacity, a free audio editor. There's a few recent tunes included on the mix but mostly it's some old favourites. Mainly because I can't get hold of the vinyl so I had to download them. Unfortunately that does mean that some of the tracks aren't perfect quality (there's even a couple of youtube downloads) but nothing major. Anyway download it and enjoy.

DJ Embryo - Ghost Town Mix

Here's a new drum & bass/jungle mix for your halloween pleasure though it hasn't actually got much to do with Halloween except for the Ghost Town theme ;) It's mainly new tunes but I've included a few old classics as well. The actual mix took me about 4 attempts to get it right but I'm pretty happy with the end result (some of the levels could be better but that can't be helped :). It runs for just over an hour and a quarter so it will fit on a CD and I've included some covers if you want to burn yourself a copy. Anyway, download it and enjoy :)

Here's a drum & bass / jungle mix I did in July that has a selection of old and new stuff. It's got a couple of 'iffy' mixes on it but nothing major so don't worry ;) I should say thanks to Hard To Find Records as they gave me a couple of free tunes. Only because they sent me an incorrect 12" (right cover, wrong vinyl) but their customer service was excellent and they sent me the right tune and told me to keep the original one they sent and refunded the original cost so check 'em out. Here's a 2 disc DJ mix that should help with your new year's eve celebrations. The first disc is my latest drum & bass / soundclash mix with a selection of my new tunes. The second disc has a few different genres starting with 20ish minutes of cutting and scratching over some classic hip hop and electro beats. It then shifts into some breakbeat and classic drum & bass before finishing up with some more turntablism over a few laid back Ninja Tunes. Disc 2 wasn't done as a 'live' set as I spliced together the different sections using Audacity (though each section is a live mix but I don't suppose you care really :).

OK, one final jungle mix... well for a little while at least (though I have just bought some new tunes so you can never tell :). This is an amalgamation of the last two mixes I've done. It should fit nicely onto a CD (with all of 30 seconds left :) and there are covers included in the download if you want to burn yourself a copy. I've been busy mixing recently so here's another drum & bass/junglist mix for you. DJ Embryo - Hail Up The Lion Mix

Here's another mix that I did the other day. This one is pretty much a 'junglist' mix, heavily tinged with reggae breaks and pounding bass & rhythms. It has some absolute classics from the genre and it may be my favourite/best mix I've ever done (even if I do say so myself :) The Prodigy track is a bit out of place but I bought the vinyl the other day and it's a excellent version so I started the mix with it. It's nearly an hour long and there are CD covers included in the download. I wouldn't normally do this but this mix is highly recommended ;) so download it now.
