This download is a dubstep version of the classic War Of The Worlds story. The mix was put together by erwtenpeller and can be streamed from soundcloud. I'm not a massive fan of dubstep but this is such a classic I thought I may as well post it up here for those people who missed it when it did the internet rounds.

Ernest's Adventures In Space

I had a dream about Hawkwind the other night (nothing sexual you'll be glad to hear) so I decided to put together a new collection/mix of space rock. Most of the tracks are fairly recent but there's some older stuff as well (Monkey 3, Porcupine Tree). Most of the songs aren't straight up space rock but they have more of a stoner'ish feel, think bands like 35007. It's all pretty cosmic though so I hope you enjoy it. I've mixed the tracks together and it should fit onto a blank CD.

Serial Killaz - Full Metal Jack Up Mix

I was looking through some old mixes the other day and I came across this little gem. It's a jungle / drum & bass mix from 2009 but unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from. The cover says it's presented by the Serial Killaz and mixed by DJ Tera but whoever is responsible it's an excellent mix. It goes on for 70 minutes and is all in one big file. This is much like the mixes I do (it's got a couple of tunes that are on my wish list) so if you like them you'll like this.

Hoolio - Dubstep Mix (Q1 2012)

Here's an excellent little dubstep mix by DJ Hoolio. I met Hoolio a few weeks back & as well as being a proficient DJ he is also a producer & engineer, running his own studio. He also runs drumstepuk.com, a web based radio station for all the bass-heads out there. As well as streaming non-stop Drum & Bass, Dub Step & House there is also live DJ sets most evenings. You can either listen on-line or use the free app so go check it out now.

DJ Embryo - King Dub Mix

Here's a new jungle mix I did recently. It's got a couple of exclusive tracks on it so shout outs to Silicon Drum for the superb King Dub track and to my young protege DJ Blits for letting me remix his Come Into My Room track. I did this mix using vinyl and Audacity, a free audio editor. There's a few recent tunes included on the mix but mostly it's some old favourites. Mainly because I can't get hold of the vinyl so I had to download them. Unfortunately that does mean that some of the tracks aren't perfect quality (there's even a couple of youtube downloads) but nothing major. Anyway download it and enjoy.

DJ Embryo - Ghost Town Mix

Here's a new drum & bass/jungle mix for your halloween pleasure though it hasn't actually got much to do with Halloween except for the Ghost Town theme ;) It's mainly new tunes but I've included a few old classics as well. The actual mix took me about 4 attempts to get it right but I'm pretty happy with the end result (some of the levels could be better but that can't be helped :). It runs for just over an hour and a quarter so it will fit on a CD and I've included some covers if you want to burn yourself a copy. Anyway, download it and enjoy :)

Only because they sent me an incorrect 12" (right cover, wrong vinyl) but their customer service was excellent and they sent me the right tune and told me to keep the original one they sent and refunded the original cost so check 'em out. This is another reggae and dub mix from DJ Switch. This was done on the 22nd of April 2011 and contains a mixture of new and old reggae tunes. Unfortunately I haven't got the track listing but it has tracks from artists like Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Junior Marvin and King Tubby. The last ten minutes of the mix was actually done by me and is a couple of tracks from Linton Kwesi Johnson and Scientist. So if dub reggae is your thing give this a listen.

Oria - Totem (D&B Mix)

This drum & bass mix was put together by an old friend and frequent DJ partner of mine. This is coming straight from the warmer shores of Cyprus where Oria now lives (lucky bastard ;) As well as bringing you the latest drum & bass and liquid funk mixes Oria also helps with www.breakbeatcyprus.com. This site was launched in February 2010 with the sole aim of promoting what, in Cyprus at least, can be simply termed as 'alternative electronic dance music' such as Drum & Bass, 'Breaks', Dubstep and Trip-Hop.

Here's what Oria had to say about the Totem mix...
I put this 1hr selection together to round off the year after having a bit of a DnB lull since the summer. Most of these vinyl releases I picked up in September/November 2010 so it's mostly quite recent stuff and then straight forward mixing on my trusty Technics 1210s. I quite like the flow on this mix and maybe even less wobbles than previous efforts ;) Anyway music talks for itself so enjoy and please share any comments with me if you listened :)

Well I hope you had a nice christmas and new year and let's start off 2011 with a big ol' reggae mix. This one is from DJ Switch and was recorded in November 2010. It has a mixture of old and new stuff from people like Lee 'Scratch' Perry, The Clash and Barrington Levy. It's mainly reggae but there's also a little bit of ska, dub and dubstep thrown in for good measure. The download is all in one big 320kbps mp3 file. DJ Embryo - Truth & Rights (2xCD)

Here's a 2 disc DJ mix that should help with your new year's eve celebrations. The first disc is my latest drum & bass / soundclash mix with a selection of my new tunes. The second disc has a few different genres starting with 20ish minutes of cutting and scratching over some classic hip hop and electro beats. It then shifts into some breakbeat and classic drum & bass before finishing up with some more turntablism over a few laid back Ninja Tunes. Disc 2 wasn't done as a 'live' set as I spliced together the different sections using Audacity (though each section is a live mix but I don't suppose you care really :).
