Seeing as it's halloween I thought Id post up some zombie-core. Send More Paramedics were a horror hardcore/thrash band from Leeds in the UK.
Unfortunately they split in 2007 but they released 3 full albums and a couple of split LPs whilst they were together.

Here's a selection of some early punk songs, well I'm pretty sure all these were released in either 1977 or 1978 so that's pretty early. I've deliberately avoided putting on any tracks by the bigger bands, such as the Sex Pistols or The Clash because you've already heard them so this concentrates on the lesser known acts from that era. Great bands like Swell Maps with their trashy style, X-Ray Spex with Poly Styrene screeching lyrics about consumerism and media control 20 years before it became fashionable and then there's the 'working class, council estate street' punk from the likes of Slaughter & The Dogs & Menace. Hope you enjoy it :)
Most of the tracks are in 320kbps mp3 format but there are some that are 256 or 192kbps. I've split the download into two parts, tracks 1 to 20 in part 1 and the rest in part 2. Each part is around 100MB in size.

Here's an excellent techno mix by Acid Steve that he did in May 2009. It was done as a tribute to the London squat parties and there are some superb tracks on here (check out the Specials bootleg tune) so I definitely recommend grabbing this now. There's also a My Space page for Acid Steve if you want to check it out.

Here's an interview by Vinyl Mogul with Ian Dury from 1977. Basically it's all about the classic album New Boots & Panties he did with The Blockheads and it has Ian giving an explanation about each track.
INTERESTING ROCK FACT... The boy on the cover of the album is Ian's son Baxter.
The tracks are as follows... 01) Introduction 02) Wake Up And Make Love To Me 03) Sweet Gene Vincent 04) My Old Man 05) Billericay Dickie 06) Clever Trever 07) If I Was With A Woman 08) Blockheads 09) Plaistow Patricia 10) Blackmail Man 11) A Few Closing Words...An Ode To The Road
I've recently been reading No Mercy, the authorised biography of The Stranglers and I'd forgotten what a good band they are. Rather than posting up one of their studio albums I thought I'd do the Live (X-Cert) album released in 1979. It contains tracks recorded at The Roundhouse in June and November 1977 and at Battersea Park in September 1978. Here's the tracklisting (320kbps)... 01) (Get A) Grip (On Yourself) 02) Dagenham Dave 03) Burning Up Time 04) Dead Ringer 05) Hanging Around 06) I Feel Like A Wog 07) Straighten Out 08) Curfew 09) Do You Wanna? Death & Night & Blood (Yukio) 10) 5 Minutes 11) Go Buddy Go
Formed in Brighton in 2006, Dead Swans have been making a name throughout the UK and Europe with a ferocious blend of hardcore that takes the musical influence from turn of the century Boston hardcore like American Nightmare and Right Brigade. They add a discordant melody and double bass metallic edge that, when combined with vocalist Nick Worthington’s strained voicebox abuse, creates a mix that has been garnering the band global attention (text from Bridge Nine Records website).
